Valuable resources!

These are two important items for the trip. I really like the "Lewis and Clark Road Trips" book by Kira Gale. As the trail is a little difficult to track, and branches off from time to time, books like this not only have helped to plan my trip, but also give good suggestions on things to see along the way!

Last summer, in Glacier National Park, I finally gave in to my curiosity about the Passport books I've been seeing in every pair - and it was great! You can get stamps at every National Park, looking like post office cancellations and sometimes pretty elaborate pictures. And, as I discovered driving across Montana and North Dakota, many other places also stamp. I have stamps from museums all along the Dinosaur Trail in Montana, stamps from a bunch of Fish and Wildlife offices, the National Buffalo Museum, and from a salmon feeding station for grizzly bears! It was a great way to keep track of all the great things I was seeing - and a fun souvenir!

This summer I bought a new one, and the set of 2014 Stickers, so I have stickers for the featured NPS site for each of the areas around the country! I'll be adding many more stickers and stamps as I travel and visit libraries. Maybe some libraries will have stamps!
