This is a shot of my Jetboil, happily filled with boiling water. The stripes on the side turn orange as the water gets hotter - which never fails to fascinate me! This is one of my big pleasures at night and for breakfast - boil some water and have hot tea, hot oatmeal, hot dehydrated supper in a Mountain House bag - yum! Although I'm far from roughing it on this trip - I have a string of lights shaped like small Coleman lanterns in my tent at night! - it is comforting to have hot beverages and food in a campsite. As it was my last night in a tent for a while, I'm glad it was so nice.
I highly recommend a stay at the Indian Cave State Park if you are in the area! Nice sites (I was in #26, which is small but GREAT for privacy), pretty good bathrooms, and a lot of beautiful places to hike and drive.
Off to go see more cool things today!
