St. Joseph

This is another town with all kinds of history and historical places. Include the central public library on that list, with its building from 1902 and these amazing shelves and glass floors on the upper level of the collection. The Carrara marble statue of Ophelia, donated in 1902 for the library's founding by a local family visiting Italy, is the artistic star; but the rest of the building lives up to the lovely historic standard.
