I love this map! Not only did the Corps go through this area; but after they returned, William Clark held several offices in the Missouri Territory. He died in St Louis in 1838, after adopting Sacagawea's son and daughter. (She died in South Dakota around 1812.)
There is as much Lewis and Clark history here as there is about the Revolutionary War in Boston. Everyone emphasises the parts of history most important to them.
