Yum!

I picked up some grass-fed cow at Safeway, and we celebrated last night with a lovely dinner! I built the fire, and David did the cooking. Add in some lovely Montana Wheat buns, some veggies, and a half a small bottle of champagne for each of us, and it was a pretty successful final night in a campsite.

I also managed to get a bunch of pieces sewed on my quilt. And picked out the next batch of fabric to cut up! 

We have a couple of prairie dog holes here. Last night, a fat one came up from the hole, and charged - top speed - toward cover in the tall grass.He spent the next half hour or so chirping out warnings to everyone. This morning, as we are getting ready to depart, another one stuck his head up, looked at us, and dived back down. Cute! But we are still not feeding the wildlife.
